Do theme updates break customizations?
Not when the work is built the right way. We keep customizations modular and isolated from the theme core, so updating your theme does not erase them. For heavily modified themes we document exactly what was changed, so any update is a quick, safe merge rather than a guessing game.
Which themes do you work with?
We work with Dawn and the free Shopify themes, as well as premium themes from the Shopify Theme Store. As long as it is an Online Store 2.0 theme, we can add sections, blocks, and custom logic to it.
Can you replace an app I pay for every month?
Often, yes. Many app features, such as upsells, badges, size charts, and announcement bars, can be rebuilt as lightweight native code. That removes the monthly fee and the extra scripts the app loads on every page. We will tell you up front whether a given app is worth replacing.
Will the custom code slow my store down?
No. We write performance-conscious code with no jQuery bloat and minimal JavaScript. New sections are built to load efficiently, and where we replace an app, the store usually gets faster because there is less third-party script to download.
